Donnelly Wins First Debate of Indiana Senate Race

Indianapolis, Ind.-- U.S. Senate candidate Joe Donnelly won the first of two debates in the Indiana Senate race tonight as TEA Party candidate Richard Mourdock drove home his “my way or the highway” gridlock politics.

“Joe Donnelly won this debate because he spoke directly to voters in Indiana tonight about Hoosier common sense,” said Paul Tencher, Donnelly campaign manager. “Richard Mourdock continued his ‘my way or the highway’ campaign with attacks and distortions that have no merit. Joe Donnelly proved to Hoosiers that he is the fiscal conservative who will focus on job creation by working with Republicans. Mr. Mourdock proved he has no interest in bipartisanship and merely wants to continue the Washington way of inflicting his opinion on other people.”
